Which nations are taking the most advantage of the solar resources that they have? The Netherlands, Australia, & Germany stand out. But there are many sunny nations w/ very low installed solar capacity per person. Adding solar in those places would provide ample clean power. (4 of 4) fin 🧪🔌💡

A plot of installed solar capacity per person vs. solar insolation (Wm2) the amount of annually integrated sunlight reaching the surface shows which nations are making the most of their available resources and which have room to grow. Circles show the size of the national population. The three nations with the greatest per capita solar panels are the Netherlands, Australia, and Germany. The next tier are Belgium, Austria, Japan, Denmark, UAE, Greece and Spain, followed by China, Italy, S. Korea, Taiwan, US, Israel, Chile and Poland. Many nations with higher solar insulation have less than 0.5 installed solar panels per person.
