But yes, all speculation, and probably partially or entirely wrong. But entirely plausible 🤷♂️
Right wing politics leads to less regulation, less socialism, less worker rights, higher debts, higher exploitation - basically more capitalism, which generally works in the favour of banks. And they certainly wouldn’t want to cede power to a high profile individual who could turn on them any time.
I’m just cynically spitballing, but is it possible that banks have done incredibly well out of the proliferation of right wing propaganda, whilst actively wanting the figurehead of that movement to fail so he poses no threat to them directly?
It blows my mind that he convinced a single person to help fund this takeover. Even if you applied the most generously optimistic outlook at the time, it seemed inconceivable that it could possibly prove to be a successful venture in the short or medium term.
"When I die, as far as my so-called accomplishments go, it would be nice if Friends were listed far behind the things I did to help other people. I know it won't happen, but it would be nice" RIP Matt Perry, funder of sober-living and addiction support services, and addiction awareness campaigner
I felt they were fine and built upon everything else we’d seen so far… apart from the Martian Manhunter stuff. That sucked, he should have 100% been cut from the movie. Nothing about his character or even his existence made any sense whatsoever.
Is it trustworthy right now? No, not at all. Will it be in the future? Most likely. Technology only ever improves, usually at an exponential rate 🤷♂️
How could it cost $400 million to make Avatar 2 when the entire movie can fit on my phone! I’m a genius, btw
I love being able to quickly skim recent commits and see exactly which files and lines of code have changed at a glance. I’m a very visual person though, so I know what works for me isn’t for everyone!
Give me a good GUI any day. Tower git app is amazing. Also, so many people I’ve worked with have zero awareness of changes other devs are making on the projects they work on - because they’re using command line, with no easy way to browse the changes their team members are making. Blows my mind 🤯
