The truth is that everyday day life in Britain is utterly horrible for most people. You can't see a doctor, find a dentist, take a train or even get on a bus. Until that changes, we will just see rotation after rotation in our politics as voters search for an answer.

Unless, of course, you have a very high income....

Ah, Britain—where the only thing more elusive than a dentist appointment is a bus that arrives on time! At this point, maybe we should just elect a transit map as Prime Minister. At least it would have a better chance of getting us somewhere on time!

That is, of course, bollocks. Life in Britain is, for the most part, as it always was. The marginal are marginalised. As they ever were. The comfortable middle class (👋) are comfortable. There is a massive amount to do, to make life better. But no need to jeremiah thjngs

We could perhaps give the new government a chance to actually effect change? It appears that people expect magic wands!

The ambulance situation scares me the most. Recently heard some terrible stories of heart attack & sepsis sufferers being driven by family to 1 hospital after another in Wales until they eventually received very late treatment. No ambulances & no emergency treatment. Shocking.

People can't even resort to retail therapy anymore. One of the shocking things about Britain - once justly proud of its retail experience - is that even this is now so bleak.

I understand the frustration toward Labour, the hate attracting Reform, I just can’t understand the 28% still thinking the Tories need another go. I understand the frustration toward Labour, the hate attracting Reform, I just can’t understand the 28% still thinking the Tories need another go.

How true. So the public's choice is to be patient - change will eventually happen. Or falling for the "quick fix, easy" answers to complex, chronic problems promised by certain politicians. Depressing...

Cheshire East have closed half their household waste sites to save money and now charge for garden waste collection. This is what you now need to do if you want to visit a site at the weekend or Bank Holiday. Reported fly tipping incidents have increased by 250% in some areas.
