The only way the United Kingdom can quit the ECHR is by breaching or re-negotiating the Good Friday Agreement. And Ireland and the nationalist community in the north of Ireland are not going to re-negotiate the GFA so as to remove fundamental rights. No way round this for Jenrick and the Tories.
If you give Ā£1 billion to the NHS thatās Ā£1 billion more in the NHS & patient care. If the Ā£1 billion is given to private healthcare, most goes to shareholders, the priority is profit and very little goes to patient care. So why is @wesstreeting happy to waste so much money?

As I have argued for the best part of a decade now, those who describe xenophobia and/or racism as the product of ālegitimate concernsā are, by rhetorical construction, legitimising both the underlying prejudices and the downstream actions that they might (and have) lead to.
