MSNBC recently acquired Errol Morris’s documentary “Separated,” a likely Oscar contender examining the Trump administration’s family separation policy, but it won’t air until a month after — in part because NBC bosses don’t want to offend Trump, Oliver Darcy reported Monday.
New report from Oliver Darcy comes 2 days after the film's director suggested politics played a role in scheduling his film
It seems like they're aware of that since their statement says "we urge Uncommitted voters to vote against [Trump] and avoid third-party candidates" They endorse voting for Harris but not Harris herself I guess? Or felt endorsement required organizing support beyond just saying "vote for her" once?
Raise your hand if you've had the "rude" label applied to you while defending your marginalized identity against an abusive person 🙋🏻♀️ The "rude" label should not exist. It is *subjective* and easily weaponized by bigots and bad actors. Suspension based on rude labels is going to CAUSE HARM.
Politico interviewed Riho Ühtegi (Estonian SOF) it always seemed like a reasonable reference for this. "Russians can get to Tallinn in two days…maybe. But they can’t get all of Estonia in two days. [...] They will die in Tallinn & they know this. They will get fire from every corner, at every step"
The ashamed Trump supporter really feels like it's screwing with media perceptions of "undecideds". NBC had three former Trump voting "undecideds" and the registered Dem. spent his entire moment talking about how the best version of Trump was when he stopped acting normal & focused on nationalism...
Had a coworker who was thrilled at the idea of a "software defined vehicle" was just amazed at the revenue that would come from subscription heated seats. We didn't work for an auto manufacturer! He would be paying those fees! Capitalism really does something to some people.
I would be interested if anyone else has examples of this because this is a very intentional attempt to decouple the weekend from Labor Day and the meaning of Labor Day. in fact, this appears to be a very clear escalation of corporate dominance and their erasure of reality.
US folks reacting to censorship in Brazil, which is a complex topic, are also heavily influenced emotionally by recent history. We've had a decade of the same bunch of people being villains without consequence. There's intense desire to see society smite them, to show it won't tolerate them.
