“The combined weight of these legal cases threatens to crush it. The UMG case could prove existential, with potential fines running into the hundreds of millions. The internet has entrusted its collective memory to this one idiosyncratic institution. It now faces the prospect of losing it all.”

My struggle with reconnection is the direct impact of what happened to them. & it was on purpose. 🧡

She has been Christian my whole life, & all my aunt's & uncle's lives, & raised all her children that way. I don't know how to describe it, but I've always sensed fear in her faith. & the faith of many of her kids is also warped &/hollow. & it's... I can see it (the genocide 🧡) all on display.

She talked a bit about being ridiculed by both white kids in the village & other Inuit kids because of her parents. I know she could yodel, but didn't really like to, & she told me could throat sing, but wept when I asked her to.

My grandma, who's younger... & I don't know if she went to the same kind of school.

When I was VERY young (under 5), my grandma Elsa explained to me that her sister went away to school. She struggled to articulate what she meant to convey. But in retrospect, either relatives went & got her back, or it was maybe more like a day school & they followed & retrieved her one day.

Two suburbs joining the slow moving trend to legalize ADUs: New Brighton and Falcon Heights. Both allow provision for reasonable sized ADUs (~ 1000 square ft, 2 bedrooms), but retain an owner occupancy requirement. www.startribune.com/new-brighton...

The suburbs join several cities across Minnesota that now allow the units, also known as mother-in-law apartments.
