i have the world's worst hangover from moving yesterday! full body aches & a headache that won't response to ibuprofen to clarify, i didn't touch a drop of booze all day, just got extremely dehydrated while loading/unloading a 15-foot uhaul truck, ate very little, then slept horribly—from the aches

Sometimes my interactions w/ ppl on here lead me to wonder: do folks not understand what quotations are? Do they not know that the poster is probably not the author of the article they’re quoting? My work w/ undergrads, too, suggests that the protocols of citation are unintelligible to many ppl.
Forgiveness and mercy can be powerful concepts, but if you only ever argue for them on behalf of the powerful, and never the powerless, you’re really not being merciful. You’re just reinforcing the hierarchy.
