I've lived in countries that lack the food safety protections we have in the US, and I think a lot of Americans don't really understand just how frequent injuries and deaths from dangerous food are in places that lack even our own (absolutely imperfect) standards.

Seen some confusion on this: when Trump does the Chicago/Detroit/wherever "Economic Club," that's not economists. It's local businessmen. Think the guy who owns three car dealerships or some fast food franchises but likes to wear a suit and play fancy 1% upper class instead of merely being top 3%.

However the election goes, it’s hard to know what we do about living in a country with tens of millions of people, many of them family and neighbors, who have been permanently brainwashed out of observable reality and into a state of eager racist violence by Reality Show Hitler.
