I'm so glad. I wrote it because I read angry kids' angry reviews of a book they had been made to read in school on Amazon, and thought, if they had context for what they were reading they might have enjoyed it. So that was what it was for.

A few years ago, my brother mailed me a copy of the graveyard book. It's such a great book. I read it twice. It's turned me on to read all of the other books. Thank you for being such a great writer and sharing your gift.

Picked up Fahrenheit 451 thinking surely it couldn’t be as bad as I remembered - there was a Gaiman intro and everything! And it’s better as an adult! This was right as the library censorship was starting up again and long story short I’m working on my MS in library science rn because of that book

I've had similar thoughts about a great many things I was taught in school. Not just literature but things like math, science, and history as well. Context is everything. So many things seemed arbitrarily forced at the time. Only later did realization hit about why they mattered. 1/2

I had the luck to first hear it in 1980 when I was 11 from a revolutionarily awesome 6th grade teacher who read us some really important works, with due and full context. Along with Lord of the Flies, The Martian Chronicles, Tomorrow's Children, and ilk. I wish your intro had been in there then!
