@derekbruff.bsky.social I’m taking a short course on GenAI in education. First assignment: find a paragraph you know is factual and ask ChatGPT (repeatedly) to verify. 🤔 What do I know and trust?💡Dropped in a passage fr Intentional Teaching! ChatGPT did a surprisingly good job.

TFW the junk removal company comes and takes away all the renovation debris that’s been accumulating in your backyard, in your 2 am brain, in the pit of your stomach. Bliss 😌 #ThisOldHouse

MLB #PostSeason means it's time for my annual playoff pool with my kids. We pick players, get points for strikeouts, total bases, and steals. As usual, two days in and they're already kicking my ass 🤣. I got Judge, though, so starting this weekend, the court is in session!

@donnag.bsky.social I can't even imagine the application to the Institutional Research Board / Research Ethics Board to gather students perceptions and feedback about assessments by secretly recording their conversations in nearby washrooms 🤣.

One of the benefits of 2-stage exams, where students answer the questions alone and then again in groups, is students leave the room probably knowing the answers to the questions. You're less likely to overhear conversations afterwards in nearby washrooms like, "What the fuck was that?!?"One of the benefits of 2-stage exams, where students answer the questions alone and then again in groups, is students leave the room probably knowing the answers to the questions. @derekbruff.bsky.social Do you have a transcript up for the Intentional Teaching episode with Lindsay Masland? I want to grab her description of a rubric, something like "pathway for growth"?

I received a work email from a university professor today, Saturday, at dinner. Geez I’m glad I’m not in a job with that tenure / tt publish or perish workload. Sure, I saw the sender and subject line but nope, not gonna click.
