Inside you are two wolves. They are moving in perfect sync. They are Drift Compatible. You are a Pacific Rim Jaeger in a universe where wolves are the dominant species.

It's mushroom season again, so here's a guide to the different mushroom types that I made last year. If you're new to mushrooms and curious about the NSFW one, look up stinkhorns. I'm sorry/you're welcome.

A comic titled "Types of mushrooms" with 12 mushroom species. A wrinkly-looking morel is labeled "creepy but tasty". A brownish deadly galerina is labeled "boring but deadly". A witch's butter on a branch is labeled "jiggles if you poke it". A large puffball is labeled "egg". A creepy red-dripping bleeding tooth fungus is labeled "deeply disconcerting". A fly agaric with a green treefrog sitting under it is labeled "frog umbrella". A black chanterelle is labeled "chalice for forbidden elixers". Three straight-stemmed entolomas are labeled "haha, nipples". A bright purple viscid violet cort is labeled "purple is nice". A birch polypore sticking out of a birch trunk is labeled "tree nose". A complex yellow-tpped coral fungus is labeled "cursed citadel where dwells a fairy queen". A Ravenel's stinkhorn is pixellated at the top for your safety, and labeled "NSFW".

we're living through a fast-paced technological revolution around green energy and it's getting about 1% of the attention it should. In a month, no one's gonna be burning coal in the UK for the first time since the steam engine was invented.

Please enjoy these bird photography tips about the Art of Composition

A four panel comic, titled: Bird photography tips. In panel 1, labeled Good Bird Photo, a Cape May Warbler stands on a branch. The caption says "excellent lighting, subject in focus, field marks clearly visible". In panel 2, labeled "Great Bird Photo," the warbler is caught mid-leap, and the caption says "peerless athleticism, levitation?, powerful". In panel 3, labeled Excellent Bird Photo, the warbler is facing the camera and is very round, and the caption says "borb, round, a good bird". In panel 4, labeled Exceptional Bird Photo, the warbler is frozen in mid-flight, its wings tight against its body so it looks like a torpedo, and the caption says "nyoooooom".

The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff. ~ Carl Sagan, Cosmos

So often, we want to "save" wildlife by doing desperate, human-focused things for individual creatures. We help them better when we do systemic things: keep cats indoors, put Feather Friendly on windows to stop bird collisions, ban rodenticides, fight climate change, give wildlife space, and so on.

This sums it up perfectly. It’s not a conversation.

“There is no ethical way to use the major AI image generators. All of them are trained on stolen images, and all of them are built for the purpose of deskilling, disempowering and replacing real human artists.”

touching grass is no longer enough. some people really just need to be slowly enveloped in a peat bog.
