Today it's been three years since I started writing "Can You Hear My Heartbeat". It was supposed to be a collection of one-shots to get to know the characters because I wanted to write a sequel to YOI. I didn't expect it to escalate into a 360k xxl-novelisation.
Seeing all those beautiful pictures from last night's aurora borealis in my news feed is just another glaring reminder that it's time to move back to the countryside. I'm not kidding when I say that the light pollution here is so bad that you can't see more than 3 stars.
Still sad about Shoma's retirement, but also composed. I know it's only my inner child sulking because it has yet to come to terms with the fact that neither will I ever be on the edge of my seat again when he skates nor swoon about precious interactions with Coach Stéphane.
Shoma was one of the first skaters I was enchanted with when I became a figure skating fan three years ago. His retirement announcement doesn't come unexpected, though. I'm devastated and heartbroken. However, I'm grateful that he blessed the world with his soft elegant skating and his musicality /1
"The company uses AI technology to do the base translation. Native translators and editors then correct the translation and finalize the work." Argh!! When are these garbage companies going to realize a) it's *more* work to correct a crap TL than to translate from scratch, and b) no one wants this!!
