7. KOTOR II An RPG that reignited my interest in Star Wars back when I was a child eager to play Battlefront 2

#9 KOTOR 2 The whole game feels like a deconstruction of all the themes and tropes of Star Wars but also feels Star-Wars-as-hell. The KOTOR games are probably the only reason I maintained an interest in Star Wars after the prequel movies

I've been thinking about going through this and KOTOR 2 despite being pretty spoiled. I was playing SWOTOR for a while and felt like it was a really great RPG stuck in an MMO. I should just give the single player versions a fair shake.

#8 KOTOR One of the first RPGs I played, and it's obviously not the first game to do it, but I loved the idea of being able to make choices that had consequences in games.

I think Baldur’s Gate 3 is the closest. It’s mechanically a completely different game for sure, but the world and the characters and stories are just so enrapturing KoTOR as well as F.E.A.R also comes close but for very different reasons

The KOTOR series made me want to be a game writer. Dragon Age is what made me want to study player behavior in the context of RPG game romance.

Atton Rand in KOTOR 2, the writer was Chris Avellone. The first time I ever encountered romance in a game at all was in KOTOR 1. But the first one that ever made me FeEl ThInGs was KOTOR 2, and that blew my mind at the time.

13. Star Wars KOTOR 2: The Sith Lords O primeiro jogo da Obsidian que já mostrou que eles não tão pra brincadeira. A narrativa, os personagens e a mística ao redor dos eventos desse jogo, assim como a sua prequel, elevam Star Wars a um patamar de qualidade que poucas obras de lá alcançam.
