Reminds me of how some more religiously right wing groups in Judaism think of these kinds of lines (caring for the poor, stranger etc). I’d argue this is basically the case for any religion or culture that achieves that level of self-interest in other areas.
It’s *wild* that we have an actual cross-partisan coalition actively standing against Trump’s election — including multiple members of his previous administration — and it just… somehow doesn’t rate as a news item.
