I came here to give these two exact examples! The mounTain / moun-in example is one I notice often on local news here in Colorado Springs, CO. The younger reporters seem to pronounce the T, but I don't know if it's that they're young, or that in being young, they've not been in our area very long

The gold-tipped dread-like cerata of an opalescent nudibranch, Hermissenda opalescens, drapes down its back like a lion’s mane. Two large, translucent, blue-striped oral tentacles come up out of the head like Texas longhorns.
