The Nobel Prize Committee social media team has just shared this graphic and I feel like as a person who studies history I should probably at least have an vague sense of what they are on about, but no ... no clue.

A very confusing graphic including 'revolution', 'empty promises', 'handover of power' and 'nothing happens' as components, with a castle, guillotine and crown but no visible relationship between them.

Home ✨🇨🇦

Four smiling people on a car lined street. Taller blonde man in a blue shirt holds the phone. Two women with dark brown hair grin (one in a camel coloured coat) and a young man in a hoodie smirks.

Saving myself a clickbait here: because 1. 50 books isn’t an insane amount when they’re all short nonsense business books 2. being a billionaire isn’t as hard and time consuming as they pretend 3. They lie.

Dumb clickbait ad: Blinkist Magazine
Billionaires Read As
Much As 50 Books Per
Year: Here's How

i remember hearing from (generally smart) dem strategist fellas in june 2022 that they wouldn’t count on anger over dobbs lasting to the midterms because five months is an eternity in politics, because they just didn’t realize that abortion access becomes *more* personal with time rather than less

There are a lot of ways to get started now. Just something like teamtreehouse.com is pretty approachable, and python is fairly intuitive. And there are ways to get a free account. I have one with my San Francisco library card

sad yet true. one thing tv got right was getting everyone nationwide to watch a series in unison which we could bond over. it was great.
