I want to share how I launched my sessions at NCSM and NCTM: with an urgent message about community.

I don’t know what to say about the A’s today. It’s so depressing. I can’t believe it’s happening, especially like this. I can’t believe MLB is letting it happen. People will say “I can believe it because I beat you at the cynicism competition” and just, this shouldn’t be acceptable or believable.

Note that much of the criticism in this article is from AccuWeather, which more than any other company has been trying to privatize all weather data by reducing NOAA forecasting. They are mentioned prominently in Project 2025.
