“Worse, when we don’t ignore them, we blame them, telling them that they are all free to rise from their beds and wheelchairs, to walk away from the city.” This. We treat ME patients appallingly. Too often when doctors don’t understand something - it’s “all in your head” /1

I just feel so trapped. Do I stay at home to keep my life and die? Or move away for a chance at care + life and lose everything else? This is not fair.

Sitting here as usual - sick, struggling, in pain, a dozen different medical issues I have no care for, wondering what to do... I shouldn't have to choose between leaving my mom (to move to the US) and never having adequate medical care again. I hate it here. #BeautifulBC
